Kingsmead Pre-School:               proudly serving Hertford

Kingsmead Pre-school, set in Wheatcroft School grounds, opened in 1991 and registered as a charity on 23 December 1996. It is run by a committee of parents.

The Pre-school operates from two rooms in a single storey building in Hertford to provide the local community with outstanding pre-school education.

A maximum of 26 children may attend the pre-school at any one time in the current facilities.

The pre-school is open five days a week, term time only, from 09.00 to 12.00, Monday to Friday. A lunch club operates from 12.00 to 13.30 Monday to Thursday for children who attend the pre-school and Wheatcroft school nursery.

All children share access to an outdoor play area with various facilities and safe play supervision.

The pre-school supports children with learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities and also supports children who speak English as an additional language.

Ofsted Registered

Kingsmead Pre-School has an outstanding reputation locally for providing care to an exceptionally high standard.  The Pre-School leader and all teachers are trained in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted.
